University of Michigan Brain Bank

Recently, we had the opportunity to film at the University of Michigan Brain Bank. We filmed with Matthew Perkins, BS, and Dr. Henry Paulson, both from the University of Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center. Together they helped us understand the significance of those who chose to donate their brain, affected by dementia, for research. Almost 900 brains, dating back to the 1980’s, are critical to the team at the University of Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center. These brains allow a better understanding of a wide range of neurological issues.
