Tai Chi
This past Tuesday, we spent the evening filming with a Tai Chi class in Novi, Michigan at the community center.
Tai Chi Master Geni Parker and instructor Wendy William’s shared with us the value of Tai Chi for the aging baby boomer.
Geni helped us understand the history of Tai Chi which dates back thousands of years. She explained that in the early mornings in most of the southeast Asian communities that it's common to see people from all walks of life practicing a form of the exercise.
Wendy made it clear that Tai Chi helps with our cognitive wellbeing and memory by creating an intense focus during your practice. She also explained that it offers other benefits, like creating an opportunity for you to work on your balance and making new friends while in a class.
Many western medical professionals are embracing eastern practices that are steeped in the rich culture of the thousands of years of their existence.
Tai Chi is for sure one of these practices. We are thrilled to have Geni and Wendy’s students featured in our film.
