Filming at the University of Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center
Recently we had the wonderful opportunity to film at the University of Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center under the direction of Dr. Henry Paulson.
Through our first of many in-depth sit-down interviews with Dr. Paulson, we begin to learn about those on the front lines of dementia and Alzheimer’s.
We also had the opportunity to film with Stephanie Donaldson, one of the centers’ most respected advocates for the Detroit community. Stephanie is part of one of the clinical studies that help Dr. Paulson and other researchers better understand aging within the African-American community.
During our time there, we also interviewed retired Dr. Alan Dengiz and his wife Lisa. Alan, a former University of Michigan geriatrician, was recently diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment. Because of their courageous openness to share their personal journey, we learn how they, together as a team, along with their medical support, will face the complicated issues that millions of Americans face each year.
We are so thankful to the University of Michigan team at the Alzheimer’s Disease Center. To see our most recent trailer for our film, “On the Front Lines of Alzheimer’s & Dementia,” you can go to this link. http://ontodaysfrontlines.com/alzheimers/
