We were able to sit and talk with one of Michigan’s most celebrated female singer/songwriters, Carolyn Striho, for our upcoming film, “Those on the Front Lines of Cancer.” As a 6-year survivor of breast cancer, Carolyn shared her personal journey and the obstacles that took her down a path of uncertainty.

However, cancer did not stop Carolyn from her passions. While undergoing four surgeries in just nine months, she released an album. As great artists do, Carolyn took her adversity and turned it into song. Her experience with cancer in 2013 to now being cancer-free, truly comes to light in her newest song titled, Rise Inside, that she sang for us in her home.

When Carolyn is not touring with her husband/guitar player, Scott Dailey, she can be found teaching English to Special Education students in Michigan.
