We joined the Rainbow Connection and their new partners, Guernsey Farms Dairy, at their annual Rainbow Connection Wish Family Picnic sponsored by Sterling Heights FF Local #1557 at Freedom Hill in Macomb County yesterday in the warm summer sun. The picnic featured several activities for the Wish families and kids such as pony rides, outdoor bowling, inflatable obstacle courses, Wolverine Harley rides, face painting, DJ entertainment, and ice cream from the local Guernsey Farms Dairy. We got to catch up with Ingrid Todt, Wish Director, and George Miller, Executive Director, to hear their thoughts on the day and what it means to the Rainbow Connection. “The ones that are continuing to battle, the ones that have battled, come here to celebrate life,” George states.
