Last night, we were at Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak. We spent the evening filming with Megan Ritz, her mom Tracy, and her dad Robert. We have been following Megan recently through her various treatments for medulloblastoma cancer.

On Saturday, we were with her at the Proton Therapy Center at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Last night, we sat with Megan as she went through an entire evening of chemo treatments. This is one of many she will have to endure to rid her body of cancer. As Megan expressed, she is so grateful to the entire nursing staff at Beaumont that helps her through these long days and nights. Making sure Megan had everything she needed last night was nurse Emily.

To pass time, mom and dad play cards with Megan and even help build a few master pieces out of all of our favorite go-to sculpting medium – Play-Doh. We are so grateful that Megan has allowed us the opportunity to step into her life to learn what a cancer journey looks like for a vibrant 19-year-old.
