While it may have been a cloudy, slightly drizzly day in Ann Arbor, Michigan, it didn’t stop Sheila Sky Kasselman’s energy force that brought together some 70 walkers who would share the Barton 1.5 mile trail in support of the Sky Foundation, Inc.’s effort to bring awareness to pancreatic cancer. Many of the day’s participants either lost a loved one to this deadly form of cancer or they are survivors themselves.

The reason why the first walk took place in Ann Arbor was because Ann Arbor residents Steve and Melissa Chermack chose to host the gathering because Steve has been battling pancreatic cancer now for two years. We are so happy we could be on hand to document this for our film Those on the Front Lines of Cancer.
